VLADIMIR LOMELIN BURGOS

Vladimir grew up in coffee.

His earliest memory is arriving at the farm at three years old, stepping off a bus into the place that would shape his life.

He describes himself as a builder—motivated, entrepreneurial, and deeply committed to community. Beyond coffee, what defines Vladimir is his instinct to work in teams, to share ideas, and to create strategies that help others grow alongside him. Leadership, for him, isn’t about standing above—it’s about moving forward together.

Today, he balances his role as a producer with being a husband, a father of two, and a son. Everything he does is guided by a single goal: to leave a meaningful example for his children and future generations.

LOS LAGOS

Finca Los Lagos is located in Pitalito, Huila, a region known for high-quality Colombian coffee.

For Vladimir, the farm is more than land—it’s the heart of his family. It’s where he lives with his mother, raises his children, and builds the future of his household.

After more than 30 years in coffee, Vladimir believes the most critical stage of quality is fermentation. He sees it as a technical process with many variables—where the producer becomes a “director,” aligning time, conditions, and tools to reach a specific result. No two fermentations are the same, and precision is what separates a good coffee from an exceptional one.

Over the years, he has also seen how modern machinery has transformed coffee production—allowing producers to manage larger areas, improve efficiency, and sustain long-term farming.

IMPACT

Vladimir doesn’t measure success only in income.

He measures it in legacy.

Through Unchained, he sees a future where producers are no longer just suppliers—but direct exporters, with control over their work, their quality, and their value. Earning three to four times more than traditional channels would allow him to strengthen his farm, provide greater stability for his family, and invest with confidence in the next generation.

His message is simple and powerful: yes, it is possible.

Possible to do things right.

Possible to grow with intention.

Possible to show his children—and his community—that coffee can be a true opportunity when producers are respected.

That belief is what drives him forward.
